Horse Lessons Fall 2015

We have horsemanship lesson sessions opening up September 2015. Contact Megan 801-376-7703 or email at sunfireranch@gmail.com for availability.

We will be holding monthly horsemanship classes as well, students will have weekly assignments to read and then class will come together for two hours once a month to discuss and learn hands on. Guests will include veterinarian, farrier possibly a horse trainer or two.

Boarding Available

We have openings in the barn for boarding as well as outside. Full care inside is $250, if you clean your own stall and provide shavings it is $200. If you would like self care it is $75. Outside board is $175. We have an indoor and outdoor arena, place for trailer parking as well.

Horses for Lease

Sunfire Ranch has a couple of nice horses for sale/lease:

Shadow is a 7 year old black mare that has a lot of potential and just needs more miles to finish her off. She is very smooth and has started jumping. She is for sale and would also be available to lease to the right rider. She is right around 14.2 hands

Kebo is an older bay Arab gelding with a heart of gold. He is just about 14 hands and needs a smaller lighter rider. He is a fabulous horse that has just enough go while being gentle and responsive enough for a small rider.
Pumpkin is a liver chestnut mustang mare. She is light and responsive and a dream to ride. She can jog and lope well but can move out as well. She will go all day long and is eager to please. She is available for part lease.
Lightning is a solid POA mare that looks like a Quarter Horse. She is only green broke at the time so needs an experienced rider. She is for sale, or contact us if you are looking for a training project. She is in your pocket friendly and has great bloodlines.

Brite is just under 13 hand buckskin POA mare. She is very slow and steady with an excellent lope. She rides western and english and is great for beginner riders.

Striking Black Mare- H/J prospect

Shadow is a beautiful black mare approximately 14.1 hands. She is 5 years old and has been started nice and slowly. She has beautiful movement and will be a fantastic hunter jumper. She has a daisy cutter trot, can really extend or collect to a nice little jog. Very fluid canter. She works well indoors and outdoors. She is light to your legs, is already working on leg yields and sidepassing. Shadow needs a confident rider to continue her training the right way but with the right rider she will go far. She stands out on the rail and is fun to ride. She is jumping crossrails and small jumps with the ability to go much higher. Come check out this really nice mare. To approved home only. Mustang Mare for Sale

Pumpkin is a 7 year old mustang mare that is light and responsive and fun to ride. She will be a great 4H horse for a kid that wants to be able to do it all- she has a nice jog for Western but can really turn on the gas for speed events. She is fairly sensitive so needs a good rider that will continue to train her to perfection. She is very athletic, can already do flying lead changes and would be fun for flags or any other precision events. She has great feet and never had any soundness or health issues. Pumpkin is looking for a good home that will use her to her potential. She is eager to please and will go all day. She is a very quick learner and fun to ride. Boarding and lessons are available. Come and check her out. A long term lease would also be available to a qualified rider.

Dun QH mare for sale--SOLD

Brandy is a beautiful, sweet 12 year old QH mare for sale. She is the been there, done that kind of gal and is ready to take a child to the top. She is a great size at 14.2- not too intimidating of a size for a child but a great family size horse that mom and dad can ride too. Brandy is extremely gentle, calm and smooth. She has a great jog and lope and neck reins well. She has also been ridden English and done some jumping as well. Brandy has mostly been teaching lessons for the last couple of years because her owner is too busy so Brandy is ready to teach your child the ropes. She is easy to trim, saddle, bridle, vaccinate and load in the trailer. She is up to date on worming and vaccinations. A steal at $3,500. Come and take her for a test ride.
